Bring confidence and curiosity to your practice.

Do you remember a time when imposter syndrome made it hard to sit with someone’s pain? What about discouragement in your practice, feeling like your theoretical approach is not intentional enough? Are you ready to feel more comfortable within your growth areas and confident in your skills?

I’m ready to help!

I’m Kendra, and I provide clinical supervision for interns and therapists working towards licensure. We can get you grounded in your practice with the right balance of warmth, support, and gentle curiosity.

I help my supervisees build confidence and insight into their practice with a focus on social justice. We do this by equipping you with the tools you need to challenge yourself and help your clients transform.

So much of our training and supervision is overly focused on outdated or restricted practices (i.e. rigid practices focused on avoiding liability, “do this but don’t do that”, don’t question something because this is how it’s always been done). This leaves so many of us feeling there is a “right” or a “wrong” way to do therapy. I know that your therapy is unique, so I focus on providing gentle and direct feedback tailored to your different developmental needs.

First, we spend time getting to know one another; building an understanding of how our backgrounds inform our clinical practice and our time together in supervision. I want us to have an understanding of who we are as therapists, supervisee/supervisor, and outside of our work. Next, we evaluate what you have learned through school and your clinical practice. This lets us identify gaps that are creating stuckpoints, frustration, and doubt in your work. We will explore what worked (or didn’t work) for you in previous supervision experiences and collaborate on goals for our time together. In supervision with me, you will develop the skills and confidence needed to enhance your practice, liberate yourself from any outdated/oppressive learning, and create strong relationships with your clients.

I am dedicated to helping therapists bring their authentic selves to their work.

You deserve a supervisor invested in enhancing your practice. With my training in developmental supervision, I am proficient at supporting supervisees as they undertake the enormous work of becoming a therapist. I understand what it means to be in training or working on my licensure while struggling to feel ready to practice independently.

As a supervisor, I can pull from well rounded experience. As part of my M.A. and Ph.D., I have worked at multiple practicum and internship placements and have had over 14 clinical supervisors. This diversity of work has allowed me to firmly establish what works and doesn’t work in supervision. I know that a poor fit in supervision can make or break your experience and even lead you to question whether you are in the right line of work. You won’t just get a supervisor who will help you check off hours, you will get someone who genuinely cares about you and your work.
